Wow! Web 2.0 tools are great! I had such a hard time narrowing down which one I wanted to blog about. I finally chose Google Docs because I just recently bought an iPad. One of the apps I downloaded has Google Docs and I always wondered what it would do. I now know!
Google Docs creates documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. You can create these while others are working on the same document which is convenient for group projects. Also, you can send what you create as an email or share with other users who are using Google Docs. Another great feature this tool has is it can save your work as a Word document, Power Point presentation, and Excel spreadsheet. This is great for on-the-go work.
I think this tool could be used in higher level grades to collaborate with peers for group work. It could also be used by the students to submit work through. Since Google Docs is all online, students would not have to worry about losing the work they did due to computer error or mess ups. They would be able to access it at home and at school!
