Knowing that others enjoy what you write is a wonderful part of being a writer. It helps to connect with the reader. A community is formed when the reader becomes engaged with the writer. It makes a warm circle of humanity. I think commenting back to the people who commented is a great idea. I feel like this will let them know you are trying to stay connected with them and this will keep them reading what you write.
I commented on Bridgette Elmore's Blog #1 about becoming a life long learner. I found that her and I share similar thoughts and feelings about life long learning.
I commented on Jessi Wright's Blog #7. She posted pictures of her study abroad pictures which were stunning! I love Europe and hope to go in the future.
I commented on Melissa O.'s Blog 2 which was about making the avatar! I found making the avatar challenging too. I enjoyed reading her triumph story of how she mastered the AVATAR!
I commented on Mallory Stewart's Thing 3 blog which was about using blogs in our classrooms. I think this is great that others want to incorporate this form of communication into classrooms. I think parents and students can really benefit from teachers using blogs.
I commented on a blog about context clues. The standard I have chosen deals heavily with context clues, and it was exciting to read other thoughts about the subject matter.
