Becoming a life long learner is one thing I want to instill into my own students. While watching the video, the phrase "I will, I can, I do" jumped out at me. I really like how it breaks the learning process into steps. I will learn. I can learn. I do learn. This is just really great.
The habit that I feel that I have already accomplished and mastered is accepting responsibility for my own learning, which is habit two. I know how to answer questions that I have, and I actively seek out these answers.
The habit that I struggle the most with is habit 3, viewing problems as challenges. I tend to have the mind-set of "just get through it." In the future and in my classroom, I want to see problems as puzzles and learning experiences. Teaching this to my students will also be beneficial for them. Not only will it teach them how to learn from problems, but it will also create good problem solving attitudes and habits.
