I have been using mind maps and flow charts in my educational career as a student for quite some time. When I begin a project, I always have many ideas that need to be organized. I am a visual learner so seeing my ideas mapped out in an organized fashion really helps me. I used to write them down in a spiral notebook, but not anymore!!
I explored Gliffy and Bubbl.us and I really liked both of these. Sometimes I find creating documents on the computer a bit frustrating because you have to try really hard for the document to look exactly the way you want it to. I found that Bubbl.us was so simple to organize thoughts! The bubble features took a lot of text and was very straight forward when it came to adding a new bubble! Gliffy was just as easy to use but I prefer using Bubbl.us because I like mind mapping a bit better than flow charts. I am definitely going to use these in my future classrooms. Mind maps and flow charts are excellent ways to cater to students who are visual learners!
